*End of Winter Warmer: unplugged folk punk and sweet soulful sounds*

Come warm your cockles in the Lion with acoustic music, warming vibes and a safe space for expression, connection and discussion <3 We present an unplugged fundraiser night of folk punk and heart-warming sounds, featuring friends near and far with their guitars. Cost: 5r on the door. Proceeds will be used to pay artists and make two donations, one to local activist group Bristol Rising Tide and one to Refugee Community Kitchen. Capacity: The Lion is a limited capacity venue, so get down early. Line up: EFA Supertramp: https://afiach.bandcamp.com/ Efa Supertramp is a Welsh folk punk grrrl armed with an acoustic guitar and a powerful voice. Efa sings in both English and Welsh. Her songs are angry but uplifting. She hates money, power, greed and inequality, but loves living life as free as she can. Drawing much of her inspiration from social justice issues, Efa has been regularly touring around the European continent since 2012, playing in squats, living rooms, protests, street corners, bars and festivals with her acoustic songs and also as part of Kildren (removed from the Glasto line up last year for being "too political"!). She is based in London. Maxi Rai: https://www.facebook.com/maxiraimusic/ One voice, one guitar, one mission. Maxi Rai's music encompasses modern day, soulful 'Anti-Folk' with a Bristolian twist. Her original combinations of wordplay and poetic real life stories, with a backdrop of acoustic guitar, give a rhythmic and undefinable style of music. Greta Lindsay and Lewis Todhunter: https://www.facebook.com/Gretalindsaymusic/ Greta is trying to put all the mad, crazy things in her brain into something people can wrap their ears around. She has a unique voice and sound singing about life, love, loss and everything in between. Lewis will be accompanying on double bass. Simon White: https://soundcloud.com/job-seekersalliance https://www.facebook.com/ThirdDegreeGurns/?eid=ARDR4oTc3DjH25fcNGVpzfe4n0IukNcc2F1lMxdOyERJXpcHdNA_Hx92TJGTJ971oWIseZRkEtSFoQ3q&timeline_context_item_type=intro_card_work&timeline_context_item_source=284700115&fref=tag Simon White is one man and his guitar on a mission to play fast and sing loud in Bristol and across the world. Simon has travelled everywhere with his guitar including America, Mexico and more recently across the whole of Europe bringing music workshops to displaced people. You'll wanna hear what he has to say. Simon is a former member of Bristol-based Job Seekers Alliance.
